Creative Minds at Work
Applied Learning or Fine Arts strives to provide students with opportunities in engaging activities that will generate interest, spark passion, increase application of skills and knowledge, and facilitate communities that cultivate productive, civically-minded members of society. Applied Learning for elementary students focuses on six areas: Civic Engagement, Music & Performing Arts, Physical Education, STEM & Computer Science, and Visual Arts.

STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art & Math) with Mr. Bernstein
Our STEAM program brings learning to life through hands-on exploration and real-world problem solving. Students engage in exciting projects that combine creativity with critical thinking, using tools like coding, robotics, and design challenges. STEAM encourages innovation, collaboration, and curiosity—preparing students to think like future inventors and leaders.
Music with Dr. K
Our music program inspires students to explore rhythm, melody, and self-expression. Through singing, instruments, and movement, students build foundational music skills while developing confidence and creativity. Before and after school opportunities such as chorus and Sparky Sound allow students to shine and share their talents with the school community through shows.
Art with Ms. Robinson
Our art program nurtures creativity and imagination while helping students develop artistic skills and techniques. Students explore a variety of mediums, including drawing, painting, and mixed media, while learning about famous artists and cultures. Art encourages self-expression, critical thinking, and a love for visual storytelling.
